Cool, so I’m starting a blog. Nothing out of the ordinary I guess since it seems like most people of the web generation tend to express themselves online in words through some blogging outlet or another (don’t lie, I know you had a Xanga). I guess you could say that one of the reasons I’m starting this blog is due to my pride, but that’s not a very good reason to start a blog at all. Granted, there are some days that I do indeed feel like a literary genius and that my words should be shared with the rest of the world, but most of the time I simply feel like just another person, just another Christian, struggling with my flesh and my desires and far too often giving in to them – even though I know it’s wrong. Even so, it can be said that my primary reason for starting this blog is that I have a number of brothers and sisters that have been so encouraging to me through the words of their blogs, so transparent in their struggles and in how God is shaping them into more Christ-like individuals, that I want to be able to do that. I may not be as theological as some nor may my life be as interesting as some nor my writing as good, but if my testimony can be an encouragement to others or a witnessing tool or whatever God chooses to use it for, to God be the glory.

Another reason I’m starting this blog is because I was getting tired of waiting for my blog feed to update and I figured that maybe if I started posting stuff occasionally it might motivate others to post more too and give me something fun to read. And in this way blogging will become a vicious cycle…
